(31 August 2026) We have been watching events centered on Iran and its regime, waiting for escalation of what looks to be the Second Signpost.
We have been watching since February 28. The Strait of Hormuz was mostly closed from March 2 to August 23 or so, being about 175 days. The Strait is sporadically open, and is under the control of the Iranian regime.
We’ve seen two stories involving the US military in the Middle East contributing to the US retreating from the Iran War
One is the absence of interceptors as well as offensive missiles. The second is that US bases are unusable after Iranian attacks, and so the flotilla in the Arabian Sea has a 2,000-mile supply line with its base at Diego Garcia.
Breaking Points reports another factor: Several high level military commanders are warning DoW Secretary Hegseth against extending the Iran War.
This may come to nothing, or may be the tip of the iceberg of backlash within the Department of Oil towards President Trump contributing to his backing down against Iran.
Conclusion
The Iran War has now been going on for more than 6 months, which is unexpected for an attack that was only to last 5 to 10 days way back at the end of February.
The high-ranking commanders are telling the administration that this war cannot be kept up.
We know from Daniel 8:4 regarding the ram that, “No animal could stand against him.” This would mean the US military would either be defeated, or withdraw from the Middle East.
In this war with Iran so far, the US is seeing both some retreat and some defeat.
Keep watch.
